This page is dedicated
to an often overlooked, but essential guy: Jamie Kennedy. Okay,
if you find yourself here by accident, and your wondering who the hell
Jamie Kennedy is, then i need you to think back for a second. If
you've seen Scream or Scream 2 that is. Think of Randy, the one that
tries so hard to get Sydney's attention and fails so badly. But i
don't understand. Why would he want the geek
to get the girl? The question is:
What geek?
Note:
Most of the stuff on this
page is related to SCREAM or SCREAM 2, because that's the easiest stuff
to find.
(hmm... can you say product
placement? notice the baskin robbins cups.)
When most girls watch
Scream, they spend the whole thing drooling over Billy (Skeet Ulrich),
Dewey (David Arquette) or for some strange, unknown reason, Stu (Matthew
Lillard). They rarely notice Randy, but without him, where would
the movie be?? It would totally suck! Fortunately, he got a
more important part in Scream 2, although they did kill him, which ticked
me off. he had the funniest line in the whole movie (in my opinion),
which is:
killer:
What's your favorite scary movie?
Randy: Showgirls, absolutely
frightening.
Jamie had a tiny, insignificant
role in As Good As It Gets, with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt, but he
definitely should have gotten a bigger, or at least better role.
All he does is stand around and look frightened as his buddy beats Simon
(Greg Kinnear) up. That movie was cool, because it had Jamie, Skeet,
Cuba Gooding, Jr., and Greg Kinnear... what a kickass combo. But
anyway, it annoyed me that although he and Skeet are mentioned as important
characters, Skeet is in it for maybe 10 minutes, and Jamie is only in it
for like, thirty seconds, and with no lines to speak of. Come on
people, if you're gonna have somebody like Jamie in your movie, at least
give him a good role! Jeez. He's supposed to have a leading
role in an independent comedy called "Sparkler" but i have no clue how
i'll be able to get my hands on that. I may even force myself to
go see the Gilligan's Island movie that's coming out since Jamie plays
Willy Gilligan, although the rest of it might be torture...
This is what Jamie has
to say about his character in Scream 2:
"Now Randy's not just
talking about films, he's actually a film major, pursuing a film career.
Naturally, he still
has his wit, but I think he's scared that this is all starting to go down
again."
(i got this quote from
Dimension
Films' Scream 2 Website)
If you're really interested
in Scream and Scream 2, i would suggest you go here.
Jamie was born in Philadelphia
on May 25th, 1976 (supposedly), and lives half and half in San Francisco
and L.A. Or at least, so i've heard. He first started in show
business through Stand Up Comedy, and according to MediaDome,
he has been on Comedy Central a lot since, but i watch ComCen 24/7 and
i've never seen him! His middle name, in case you're interested,
is Harvey. According to Jamie
Kennedy is so adorable (that's the name of a webpage?), he also loves
Hush Puppies, and supposedly he wears them all through Scream and Scream
2. Anyway, there isn't much on this page yet because it's practically
impossible to find any good stuff on Jamie, but i'll get some more, don't
worry!
yeah, that's our Jamie.
that's right, the one with the pink hair that is so much in Leo's shadow.
So sad. :(
nice picture, ain't it?
notice the pic at the top of my page... now... ZOOM IN.
I stole that pic at the
top from MediaDome.
Question:
Does Jamie look better
with or without a goatee?
Please Vote.
"It's the millennium motives
are incidental."
THE best scene in the
whole movie, i think.
